MAD, Brussels Fashion and Design Platform
Establishment of a European network in design fashion
October 2018 – September 2019, Brussels (BE)
Position: Network Advisor

MAD, the Brussels Fashion and Design Platform, has been the lead in establishing several European cooperation projects in a sector where that is not very common. It has now taken the initiative to set up the European Fashion Association (EFA), the European network for independent fashion. EFA will be the very first extensive network at the service of fashion SMEs and related businesses and organisations in Europe, fostering their creativity and viability.

I have been engaged by MAD to support with the conceptual, legal and administrative set-up of EFA. This means formulating the added value, long-term objectives and specific activities of the network in a business plan. It also includes determining a detailed cost and revenue structure, establishing a roadmap, liaising with key partners all over Europe, and taking care of the legal and administrative requirements.

Located in the heart of Brussels, in an emblematic building, MAD promotes Brussels design and fashion at a regional and global level. It tries to establish links between business leaders and creators wishing to embellish their professional activities and carrying an added value to Brussels and its inhabitants. MAD also promotes Brussels as a creative hub per se, from the conviction that the label “created in Brussels” is synonymous with innovative and respectful design. On top of that, quality exhibitions present the public and emerging designers to the most innovative and conscious fashion and design available.
