Contemporary art venue OUT OF SIGHT
Since May 2018, Antwerp (BE)
Role: Board member

OUT OF SIGHT is a venue for international exchange and contemporary art in Antwerp, Belgium.

As an independent organisation its approach is self-critical, flexible and experimental. The program is built around international co-operations among artists, curators, researchers and the public at large, specifically between Western Europe and the Balkans. There is room for the ephemeral and the ambiguous. A space where the poetic and the political can meet, within contemporary art.

As a member of the Board of Directors, I have the joint responsibility to oversee the organisation’s operations and make sure that its staff and volunteers act legally and ethically. Furthermore, serving on an association’s Board of Directors requires making decisions that are in the best interest of the organisation, ensuring prudent use of the nonprofit’s assets, and looking ahead to help it plan for the future.

OUT OF SIGHT was founded in 2018 by Dusica Drazic, artist and curator from Belgrade, and Wim Janssen, artist from Antwerp.
